Rachel Buschkopf

1st – 2nd Grade/Spanish/School Music

Miss Buschkopf was born and spent most of her early years in Minneapolis, MN. Later on, her family moved to Milwaukee, WI where she attended Wisconsin Lutheran High School.  From there, she went on to attend Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN.  She graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Education.  Between her junior and senior year of college, she was blessed with the opportunity to work in Latin America for two years, teaching English as a Foreign Language in both Colombia and Mexico.  After graduation, she moved to East Asia where she taught English for 3 years, after which she moved to Doral, FL.  She spent 2 years teaching 2nd and 3rd grade in Doral before returning to East Asia for two more years.  Following her second time in Asia, she moved back to Milwaukee, WI where she served for 5 years as the English as a Second Language teacher at Christ St. Peter Lutheran School.

She feels blessed to have had so many different opportunities to serve, learn, and grow and looks forward to this new chapter of her life in her new home here at Sienna Lutheran Academy.  She currently teaches 1st grade in the morning and Spanish and music in the afternoon.

Rachel enjoys spending time with family and friends, meeting new people, exploring, learning, making music, and spending time with others in God’s word.  She also loves teaching and prays that her students become strongly-rooted both spiritually (knowing their loving Savior) and academically!  She wants all of them to become passionate about learning, growing, and sharing!
